Wilhelm Keitel



Keitel, Wilhelm (1882–1946), German field marshal, head of the armed forces high command during World War II. On May 8, 1945, he ratified Germany's unconditional surrender in Berlin. He was convicted at Nuremberg of violations of international law and executed.
