Kart racing



Kart racing, sport that features single-seated, rear-engine racing cars. Referred to as go-karts, these automobiles can reach speeds of 140 mph (225 kmph) In most national competitions, drivers must be 16 years or older, but competitions for children ages 8 and 9 are quite popular. Very popular in Europe, kart racing was invented in 1956 in the United States.
