Kafir



Kafir (Sorghum vulgare), type of grain of the grass family. Commonly grown on the North American plains and used as cattle feed, kafir was imported from Africa. The plants resemble cornstalks, attaining heights of 4 to 7 ft (1.2 to 2.1 m). Kafir is closely related to the sorghum grains of Africa and Asia.
