Judith



Judith, book of the Apocrypha of the Authorized Version of the Bible, present in the Old Testament of the Western canon but not in the Hebrew Bible. It tells how a young Jewish widow, Judith, saves her city, Bethulia, by seducing and murdering the Assyrian general Holofernes.
