Jimsonweed



Jimsonweed, or thorn apple, low shrubby plant (Datura stramonium) with thick leaves and white trumpet-shaped flowers. All parts of the plant are poisonous. It is named for Jamestown, Virginia, where a party of English soldiers died after eating it as a vegetable.
