Jaffa



Jaffa, port on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, just south of Tel Aviv, Israel, with which it was merged in 1949. Jaffa is one of the oldest cities in the world, dating back to ancient Egypt. Most of its mainly Arab population left in 1948.
