Irish wolfhound



Irish wolfhound, hound which is the tallest of all dog breeds. Standing at 32 to 34 in (81 to 86 cm) and weighing between 126 and 145 lbs (57 to 66 kg), the Irish wolfhound has a wiry coat and a gentle temperament. It was used by the ancient Celts to hunt wolves.
