William Henry Hudson



Hudson, William Henry (1841–1922), English author and naturalist, born in Argentina of American parents. Green Mansions (1904), his best-known novel, is set in the South American pampas. He also wrote studies of bird life and books on the English countryside, such as A Shepherd's Life (1910).
