Hot Springs



Hot Springs (pop. 32,462), city in central-western Arkansas, 47 mi (76 km) west and southwest of Little Rock. The city was founded in 1807 by Manuel Prudhomme, a trapper. It is the site of Hot Springs National Park (designated in 1921), which encompasses almost the entire city.
