Horseradish



Horseradish, common name for a perennial herb (Armoracia rusticana), of the mustard family. Native to Eurasia, it is widely cultivated for its white, edible, pungent roots, which grow to a length of 12 in (30 cm) and are used to make a popular relish with a sharp flavor.
