Hornbill

Hornbill, any of various birds of the family Bucerotidae noted for their huge bills, which in some species bear an additional growth called a casque. Hornbills are found in most of Africa and southern Asia as far east as the Philippines. Most live in forests, but the large ground hornbill lives in open country. They feed mainly on fruit, but some hornbills eat insects or lizards. Their nesting habits are unusual. The eggs are laid in a hole in a tree trunk, and the female walls herself in with mud; while incubating the eggs, she is fed by the male through a slit in the mud wall.
