HOPE Project



HOPE Project, or Health Opportunity for People Everywhere, independent, non-profit organization established in 1958 by Washington, D.C., physician William B. Walsh to promote the teaching of new techniques to medical personnel in developing nations. In 1960 Project HOPE sent medical educators aboard the world's first peacetime hospital ship, the S.S. HOPE. Today Project HOPE has training programs in over 15 countries.
