James Jerome Hill



Hill, James Jerome (1838–1916), U.S. railroad magnate. After purchasing the St. Paul and Pacific Railroad, he extended it to the Pacific at Seattle (1893). Later, working with J.P. Morgan, he consolidated his holdings in the Great Northern Railway Company.
