Guadalajara



Guadalajara (pop. 1,628,600), second-largest city in Mexico and capital of the state of Jalisco. Located on a high plain in west-central Mexico, Guadalajara is an important manufacturing center known for glassware and pottery, textiles, soft drinks, beer, bottled water, construction materials, animal feed, and fertilizer.
