Grey Cup



Grey Cup, trophy awarded to the playoff winner in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Named after Earl Grey, a Canadian governor general, it was first presented to the nation's amateur rugby champion in 1909. Since 1954 it has been given to professional football teams. Edmonton has won the most Grey Cups (10), followed by Winnipeg and Hamilton (6).
