Charles Grey d Earl Grey (2n)



Grey, Charles, 2nd Earl Grey (1764–1835), English prime minister (1830–34) responsible for the passage of the Reform Bill (1832), which extended the vote to the middle classes. As Whig leader of the House of Commons, he helped abolish the slave trade (1807).
