Glass lizard



Glass lizard, or glass snake (genus Ophisaurus), legless, snakelike lizard. Unlike snakes, it has moveable eyelids, ear openings, a breakable tail, and nonexpendable jaws. It lives in loose soil or under roots and rocks. It reaches about 2 ft (61 cm) in length.
