Allen Ginsberg



Ginsberg, Allen (1926–97), U.S. poet of the beat generation. He has been active in protesting U.S. conformity and politics. His writings show the influence of his studies of religions of the East and West. His works include the poem “Howl” (1956) and “Kaddish” (1961) and The Yage Letters (1963).
