Gê

Gê, group of Native American tribes in east central Brazil. The Gê traditionally had a sophisticated social structure with intricate rituals and ceremonies. For food, the men hunted animals and the women gathered wild plants and raised potatoes and yams. Although modern times have changed their lives, several Gê tribes still practice some of their traditions.
