Gardenia



Gardenia (genus Gardenia), evergreen flowering shrub native to subtropical Asia and Africa that bears waxy, fragrant white flowers and has dark green, glossy leaves. It grows outdoors in the southern United States and blooms from May to September. In colder climates it is grown in greenhouses.
