Harry Emerson Fosdick



Fosdick, Harry Emerson (1878–1969), U.S. Protestant preacher. Fosdick opposed fundamentalists, preaching that science had its place in the world along with religion. He was professor at the Union Theological Seminary in New York and author of such books as The Meaning of Prayer and The Modern Use of the Bible.
