Flying squirrel



Flying squirrel, omnivorous, nocturnal squirrel that glides on a web of skin between its legs. Flying squirrels use their tails for balance and as a rudder. They are found in Asia, Europe, and North America. The 2 North American species are genus Glaucamys.
