Edna Ferber



Ferber, Edna (1887–1968), U.S. author, noted for her novels about 19th-century life, including So Big (1924), for which she won a 1925 Pulitzer Prize, Show Boat (1926), Cimarron (1930), and Giant (1952). Ferber also coauthored plays with George S. Kaufman, including Dinner at Eight (1932).
