Feldspar



Feldspar, abundant mineral consisting of potassium-, sodium-, and calcium-aluminum silicates. Feldspars make up 60% of the earth's crust. They form a leading raw material for porcelain and ceramic glazes; some, such as moonstone, are used as gems.
