Ludwig Erhard



Erhard, Ludwig (1897–1977), West German economist and political leader. In 1949 he became economics minister under Konrad Adenauer; he was the prime architect of West Germany's post World War II revival. He succeeded Adenauer as chancellor from 1963–66.
