Epithelioma

Epithelioma, tumor of the epithelium. Although epithelioma can be benign or malignant and can occur in any part of the body, the term most often refers to basal cell carcinoma, a common form of skin cancer that rarely metastasizes (spreads through the blood or lymph system) and is treatable by surgery. Basal cell tumors can result from prolonged exposure to the sun, X-rays, or carcinogens like tar.
