Ellesmere Island

Ellesmere Island, Canadian Arctic island off northwest Greenland, occupying about 80,000 sq mi (207,200 sqkm) and consisting of ice-capped plateaus and mountains flanked by a coastline pierced by deep fjords. Cape Columbia is North America's northernmost point.
