Elephant's ear



Elephant's ear, plant of the arum family, especially Colocasia antiquorum, grown for its large ornamental leaves, which spring from a rhizome (under-ground stem). Two species, dasheen and taro, are grown in Southeast Asia for their edible rhizomes.
