David Dubirisky



Dubirisky, David (1892–1982), U.S. labor leader; president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (1932–66). Known for combating Communist and underworld infiltration of the union, he negotiated increased benefits for its members. He was a founder of New York's Liberal Party (1944) and a vice president of the AFL-CIO (1955–66).
