Bette Davis



Davis, Bette (1908–90), U.S. film actress who won Academy Awards for her roles in Dangerous (1935) and Jezebel (1938). In the 1960s she won new fame in psychological thrillers. Other major films of hers include Dark Victory (1939), The Little Foxes (1941), and All About Eve (1950).
