Book of Daniel



Daniel, Book of, Old Testament book, relating events in the life of the prophet Daniel, who was brought to Nebuchadnezzar's court during the Babylonian Captivity of the Jews, during the 6th century B.C. Daniel is most widely known for his reading of the writing on the wall and his miraculous escape from the lion's den. There is a different version of the book in the Apocrypha.
