Cuchulainn

Cuchulainn, great hero of the Ulster cycle of Irish epic mythological literature. Son of the Celtic god Lugh, Cuchulainn was known for his large size and great strength. He had 7 fingers on each hand, 7 toes on each foot, and was capable of superhuman exploits comparable to those of Achilles, the Greek hero. The Cattle Raid of Cooley records his single-handed defense of Ulster against the forces of Queen Mave of Connaught.
