Anaheim

Anaheim (pop. 2,410,556), city in Orange County, southern California, southeast of Los Angeles. Settled in the 1850s by German immigrant grape growers, it became a prosperous center for handling the local citrus fruit. Now a tourist center, it is home to Disneyland (built 1955), the California Angels baseball team, and the Los Angeles Rams football team. Its diversified industry includes chemicals, hardware plants, electronics, and aircraft engineering.
