Zodiacal light

Zodiacal light, faint cone of light visible in the night sky just before dawn or after sunset. The luminosity extends along the plane of the zodiac or ecliptic and can best be seen at a point 30° to 90° from the sun, though there is some zodiacal light in all parts of the sky. Scientists explain zodiacal light as dust particles from comets and asteroids dispersed over a vast area and reflecting sunlight.
