Zambezi River



Zambezi River, river in southeast Africa, fourth-largest in Africa. Rising in northwest Zambia, it flows about 1,700 mi (about 2,736 km) south, then east along the Zambia-Zimbabwe border, through Mozambique to enter the Mozambique Channel of the Indian Ocean through a 2,500-sq mi (6,475-sq km) delta.
