Yablonovyy Mountains

Yablonovyy Mountains, mountain range in Russia and northern Mongolia. The range, which extends 1,000 mi (1,600 km), is a watershed, dividing those rivers that flow into the Arctic Ocean from those that flow into the Pacific. Its highest peak is Mt. Sokhondo (8,199 ft/2,499 m). There are large tin mines in the mountains. The range is crossed by the Trans-Siberian Railroad at Yablonovo.
