World government

World government, theoretical organization with the authority and power to maintain law order throughout the world. The idea first began in the 1300s and the massive destruction caused by World Wars I (1914–18) and II (1939–45) has led to a revival of the concept. Supporters seethe creation and effective leadership of the United Nations as a positive model and test case for a world government.
