Wood louse

Wood louse, land-living crustacean. It has a flattened body and 7 pairs of legs. Wood lice live in moist places, under bark or stones, and come out at night to feed. Moisture is essential to wood lice, and they often bunch together to reduce evaporation. Pill wood lice can roll into a ball for protection against spiders and other predators.
