Willamette River

Willamette River, river located in west-central Oregon, between the Cascade and Coast mountains. It flows northward and empties into the Columbia River near Portland. An annual rainfall of 40 in (1,102 mm) makes the Willamette Valley the richest farming area in Oregon.
