White Sulphur Springs



White Sulphur Springs (pop. 3,371), health resort in West Virginia known for its mineral springs, located 120 mi (193 km) east of the state capital, Charleston. It developed as a spa in the 1770s. Its President's Cottage served as the summer residence for a series of U.S. presidents.
