Weymouth



Weymouth (pop. 55,601), city on Massachusetts Bay, southeast of Boston. Founded in 1622 and incorporated in 1635, it is the second-oldest settlement in Massachusetts, after Plymouth. Primarily a residential community, Weymouth has some industry, including the manufacture of fertilizer, lacquers, and electrical equipment.
