Water pollution

Water pollution, contamination to water systems as a direct result of the discharge of harmful products. There are 3 main sources of water pollution: industrial waste, sewage, and chemical and agricultural wastes. Environmental concern has grown through the years, and government agencies worldwide have helped pass laws that limit the amount of wastes that may be dumped into our waters. Billions of dollars a year are spent to clean up the diseased waters, yet specialists doubt that the natural state of the waters will ever be fully restored. Water pollution has become a grave environmental problem that increasingly threatens lakes, rivers, and oceans.
