Water plant

Water plant, also called aquatic plant or hydrophyte, any of several plants classified as those that live on the surface or below the surface of water. Water lilies, sedges, and cattails are common water plants. Water bladders, or pores that contain air, are found in submerged water plants to support their upright position. Water plants most often grow in lakes and ponds.
