Wart hog



Wart hog, wild hog (genus Phacochoerus) distinguished by large, gristly facial warts and 1-ft (30.5-cm) curling tusks. Wart hogs are found in Africa south of the Sahara. They prefer plains and open scrub and live in family groups, feeding on grass, leaves, sometimes fruit, roots, and carrion.
