Edward Joseph Villella



Villella, Edward Joseph (1936– ), U.S. dancer who performed his first solo within a year of joining the New York City Ballet (1957). He is noted for his bravura style, with powerful leaps. Villella's most famous performances include the title role in Balanchine's The Prodigal Son, and Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
