Mike Tyson



Tyson, Mike (1966– ), U.S. boxer. He won the World Boxing Council heavyweight title in 1986 to become the youngest winner of a boxing championship to date. In 1987 he went on to win the World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) titles. He lost his heavyweight titles after being knocked-out by James “Buster” Douglas in 1990. From 1992–95 he was imprisoned on charge of a sexual assault. Afterwards he returned into the boxing ring. In 1996 he was suspended after biting off a piece of his opponent's ear.
