George Taylor



Taylor, George (1716–81), Irish-born member of the Continental Congress and signer of the Declaration of Independence. Taylor emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1736, serving there in the provincial assembly (1764–69, 1775) the militia (1775), and the First Supreme Executive Council (1777).
