Tangerine



Tangerine, fruit in the rue family, related to the orange. In shape, color, and taste the tangerine resembles the orange, but is smaller and easier to peel. Although originated in Southeast Asia, tangerines are grown in the southeast and western United States and Brazil, Italy and Spain. Clementine and Dancy are two popular varieties of tangerine.
