Tangelo



Tangelo, citrus fruit produced by crossing a tangerine with a grapefruit. The name tangelo is a combination of tangerine and pomelo (another word for grapefruit). Like the tangerine, the tangelo has a thin peel and sweet pulp. The Minneola and the Orlando are North American varieties, and the Ugli is a Jamaican strain common to the West Indies.
