Swanscombe man



Swanscombe man, prehistoric human dating back to the Second Inter-glacial Period about 350,000 years ago. Three parts of a skull were discovered 3 consecutive years (1935, 1936, 1937) in Swanscombe, England at the River Thames. A better specimen, found in Steinheim, Germany, in 1933, dates back 375,000 years.
